NARS Single Eyeshadow Swatches!

I love the NARS single eyeshadows.  They have all been so creamy and pigmented.  My absolute favorite is Mekong.  I wear it 6 out of 7 days a week as my liner.  My second favorite is Strada.  I wear it over MUFE aqua cream #18 and it is to die for.  My husband always compliments me when I wear that combination!  Lhasa is also becoming my new favorite for all over the lid! Enjoy the swatches!

  2. I have Mekong as well but I've been too scared to use it since it's SO pigmented! I did try using it as a liner with an angled brush but it transferred onto my eyelid & creased - do you have any tips for getting it to stay in place?

    1. Hi Jeanne!! The way I apply Mekong as my eyeliner is with a flat eye liner brush. I basically just put it way down into my lash line in almost a stamping type motion. Does that make sense? I use it dry and I've never had any issues with creasing or transferring and it stays all day.

    2. Thanks for the tips, I may be loading too much up on my brush and the excess is probably what's making the mess! I will try the flat eyeliner stamping tip - I was just recently told by a NARS artist that I'm supposed to do a pressing motion with that type of brush, all this time I've been trying to draw/drag a line with it and have been having little success haha.

    3. Anytime, Jeanne. I just take the flat liner brush and stamp it into Mekong....tap off the excess...then stamp it into my lash line. That technique works perfectly for me and it looks natural. I can't stand a harsh liner look on me. Let me know how it works out if you try it!

    4. I tried the stamping technique, but I did it over a smudged black Milani Liquif'eye Eyeliner to help it stick and I used a short shader brush to smudge out Mekong on top of it after I applied it with a flat liner brush. It stayed a lot better and only transferred a tiny bit by at the end of the day and with my stubborn oily eyelids, I consider that a success :)
