Bare Escentuals Eyeshadow Swatches!

Here are swatches of all the Bare Escentuals eyeshadows that I currently own.  I feel like these are rarely talked about!  They are so beautiful and have a very smooth and blendable formula.  My favorites are drama, queen phyllis and nude beach!  These are a great value at $13 at Sephora or QVC.  I have used mine so much and they still look brand new.  I wish Bare Escentuals would come out with some new colors for these.  I am not a huge fan of the new pressed "Ready" eyeshadows.  I prefer the loose shadows.  I hope they don't phase these out!  Enjoy the swatches!

LipFusion Tinted Lip Balm SPF 15 in Butterscotch (swatch)

If I had to pick one lip product to use for the rest of my life, this would probably be it.  I have never used a lip balm before that was as silky and moisturizing as this one.  Besides the amazing formula, I love the color it gives.  If you wear it sheer, it's a perfect peachy nude lip.  You can build up the color to make it more opaque as well.  I also adore the packaging.  The cap screws on and off, so you don't have to worry about the cap coming off in your purse or bag.  It's also great because my son can't open it and ruin it!   I don't believe these are supposed to plump your lips.  I see no plumping and there is no tingle whatsoever.  It has a fresh minty scent to it, which is pleasant.   I am going to need a life time supply of this!  I have so many other great lipsticks, but I keep reaching for this all day long!  Highly recommend!  Enjoy the swatch!

Paul & Joe: Face & Eye Color CS #076 (Siamese, Please)

Don't ask why I own this when I don't even own a cat LOL.  This is the only item that I even own from Paul & Joe.  I'm not sure if I'm going to swatch this because I'm not sure that it's right for me.  The lightest shade is pinker than I had hoped for and the mid tone shade is a tad too orange for my taste.  I might just swap this to someone who can really appreciate it because I know it is hard to find.  If you are a cat lover and makeup junkie, this will probably be a must have for you!  I purchased mine from for $36.  It also comes in 2 different colors (a pinky/purple and a green).  Here are some photos!

MAC Subtle, Coco and Coco Beach Pigments (swatch/comparison)

I was able to score these in a Makeupalley swap.  I've been dying to try these for years!! They are all gorgeous, but I was surprised at how similar Subtle and Coco pigments were to eachother.  Coco pigment has slightly more purple undertones, which I love!  If you are able to get even a sample of these pigments, I wouldn't pass it up!  Enjoy the swatches!

**Just a note that Coco is not the same pigment as Cocomotion**

NOTD: Deborah Lippmann Shake your groove thing (swatch)

This nail polish is insane!!  It's hard to capture on camera how blinding it is!  It's like having tiny gold mirrors all over your nails.  It is so sparkling bright in person that it's almost hard to look at when you are painting your nails.  In person it doesn't look like a bunch of chunky gold glitter, it just look like your nails are glowing bright gold!  This is too cool!  Enjoy the swatch!

UPDATE: I just wanted to put a warning out there that this polish is beyond difficult to remove.  Of course all glitter polishes are hard to remove, but this is the worst I've come across.  I even tried the "wrap in foil" technique and it literally did NOTHING.  It was like the glitters were super glued onto my nails.  I had to soak my fingernail in acetone and pick/scrape the glitters off.  I had to vacuum the pile of gold glitter off my floor afterwards.  This is great news if you want to wear this polish for a whole month, but if you want to wear this for a day or 2, you might want to reconsider.

Deborah Lippmann Shake your groove thing (2 coats)

I purchased these at Nordstrom!  They are so me!  I just love them to death!  They are currently 33% off, but online they only have a few sizes left.  Click here to see if your size is still available!  These are by Vince Camuto and are the "Orlas" flat!

New Obsession: Colored Skinny Jean!

I am seriously obsessed with colored skinny jeans!  I love how bright and cheerful they look!  I can wear a simple t-shirt and look put together!  Old Navy carries tall jeans and they fit true to size.  They also come in petite and range from size 0-20!  Click here to see the Old Navy colored skinny jeans!  Here is a photo of the colors I picked up!

MAC Pink Pigeon vs MAC Candy Yum Yum vs Barry M Shocking Pink #52(swatches)

I was finally able to get my hands on MAC Candy yum yum in a MUA swap.  Thank you to the sweetheart who swapped for this!!  I thought it would be helpful to some to see these three lipsticks swatched side by side.  I've heard several times that Barry M Shocking Pink #52 is a dupe for Candy Yum Yum.  They are very similar, but in real life Candy Yum Yum is much brighter!  Out of all three, Candy Yum Yum is my favorite.  I wish it were easier for people to get their hands on, but the Barry M Shocking Pink is a slightly more toned down version and is gorgeous as well!  Enjoy the swatches!

NYX Jumbo Pencil Swatches!

This is my collection of NYX jumbo pencils!  The two I reach for the most are milk and cottage cheese.  I use milk as a base to make brighter colors pop and I love using cottage cheese as an inner corner highlight.  NYX cracks me up with the names of some of their products.  Some of the names are so random and others don't even make sense (like the "beige" lipgloss that is actually pink).  Cottage cheese is just a very odd name for anything.  It just reminds me of cellulite!  LOL  Ok, enjoy the swatches!

MAC Midnight Snack Fluidline VS MAC Blacktrack Fluidline! (swatches)

I have been on the hunt for the perfect gel liner for quite some time now.  I have tried to use MAC's Blacktrack over and over again, but it always looks too harsh on me.  For a while, my go-to liner was the Urban Decay 24/7 liner in the shade gunmetal (glimmering dark grey).  Gunmetal was a bit too light though, so I continued my search for the perfect wearable liner!  I saw a few swatches of MAC's Midnight Snack fluidline from the new Shop/Cook collection and I decided to try it.  I'm so happy that I did!  It's just dark enough to be noticable, but not so dark that it is harsh.  It looks very natural and just makes my lashes look thicker at the base.  I absolutely adore it!  The shimmer doesn't show up much on the eyes, but that is fine because I wasn't looking for sparkle!  Enjoy the swatch!

NOTD: Deborah Lippmann Candy Shop (swatch)

I'm not sure how I feel about this polish.  I like it, but I don't love it yet.  I need to experiment with layering it.  On it's own, I feel like it's not super unique.  I almost wish the glitters were pastel colors and didn't have so much blue in it.  I guess I wanted it to look more like a cupcake with sprinkles!  Enjoy the swatch!

NOTD: Cult Nails Toxic Seaweed (swatch)

This is a brand new polish from Cult Nails.  I don't really love it on it's own, but I do love it layered over a dark color.  I layered it over Zoya Indigo polish and I think it turned out really cool.  It look really interesting in low light.  I dig it!  Enjoy the swatch!

NOTD: Zoya Indigo (swatch)

Wow!  This was a surprise!  I honestly didn't even know I owned this (sad, right?)!  Well, she is a beauty!  It kind of reminds me of why everyone went nuts over Essie's Starry Starry Night.  I am so glad I found this!  The application was a bit strange.  The first coat was like trying to spread tacky glue across my nail.  It was a globby and uneven mess!  The second coat was perfect though!  Enjoy the swatch!

NYX Black Label Lipstick Swatches!

NYX makes some of the best lipsticks.....period.  They are super inexpensive and they have an amazing formula.  They are some of the creamiest lipsticks I own.  My absolute favorite lipstick of all time is NYX Heiress.  It is so flattering and wearable!  I love it!  I am sorry the pictures are a tad blurry.  I'm using a different camera and still working out the kinks!  Enjoy the swatches!

NOTD: Essie Play Date (swatch)

This is one of the newest Essie polishes from the Go Overboard Collection!  When I saw this online, it just looked like another pastel purple to me.  I can't pull off pastel colors very well and didn't think this would work for me.  When I saw it in person, it was nothing like I expected.  It's like a more vibrant pastel!  I love it and I can pull it off!  The formula of this polish was the best Essie formula I've used.  It applied like butter and wasn't streaky at all.  It was opaque in two coats!  Enjoy the swatch!

NOTD: OPI Dutch 'Ya Just Love OPI? (swatch)

This is part of OPI's new Holland Collection that was recently released!  Dutch 'Ya Just Love OPI is a midtone purple with a unique red/orange microshimmer!  This polish is unique to my collection, although it is a dupe of Zoya's Tru polish that I do not own.  I really love this polish!  The formula was opaque in two coats, however, it seemed to take longer to dry than normal.  Enjoy the swatch!

Barry M Shocking Pink & Palest Lavender Lipstick Swatches/Comparison!

These are my first Barry M lipsticks and I am very impressed!  They have an amazing formula and the Shocking Pink has some seriously staying power.  I don't find them drying on my lips at all.  Barry M Shocking Pink has been called a dupe for MAC's Candy Yum Yum.  I don't currently own Candy Yum Yum, but with Shocking Pink's matte finish, I would imagine they are in fact very similar!  I also do not own MAC's Lavender Whip to compare to the Barry M Palest Lavender, but I did have a few lavender lipsticks to compare it to!  Enjoy the swatches!!

MAC Shop & Drop Quad Swatches!

This quad is part of the MAC Shop/Cook collection that was just released recently.  I have wanted the eyeshadow "hypnotizing" for a long time and when I saw this quad had it, I jumped all over it!  Hypnotizing is the stand out of this quad and worth the price in my opinion.  I will use the other 3 shadows as well, but I will probably hit pan on hypnotizing this year!  It's such a gorgeous purple taupey shadow!  Enjoy the swatches!

Maybelline Fuchsia Fever & Coral Crush Swatch/Comparison!

With all the bright lipsticks that MAC has been releasing the past few months in the Iris Aphel and Shop/Cook collections, I thought I'd swatch and compared a few bright drugstore lipsticks!  The lipsticks in the recent MAC collections sold out super quick!  Maybelline Colorsensational has 2 shades that are bright and gorgeous!  I have read that Coral Crush is a dupe for MAC's Toxic Tale lipstick, although I can't confirm or deny that because I don't own Toxic Tale! A few blogs have mentioned that Fuchsia Fever is a dupe for MAC Candy Yum Yum, but I can tell from the finish that they are not dupes.  Fuchsia Fever might be a good alternative though, but Candy Yum Yum is matte, which is why it is so unique.  I have included swatches and a comparison below!!  Enjoy!

Perfume Rave! Vera Wang Princess Night!

This is the most gorgeous perfume bottle in my collection for sure!  I have over 30 bottles of perfume and this one stands out in a good way!  The bottle has a rough texture and the sparkles don't come off and make a mess!  Love the design!!!!  It's supposed to reflect what a Princess would look like at night!

The scent is just amazing!  Here are the notes:

Wild Berries, Watermelon, Raspberry, Jasmine Petals, Orange Flower, Passion Rose, Plumeria, Crushed Sugar, Creamy Woods, Sensual Musk, Vanilla.

It is more of an evening scent, but I've been wearing it during the day as well.  It starts out smelling fruity and spicy when you first spray it.  It is such a unique, mysterious scent!  My husband says this is his favorite perfume of mine yet.  His second favorite of mine is Tom Ford's Black Orchid.  When Princess Night dries down, you still smell the wild berry note, but the crushed sugar and vanilla notes become more noticable!  I don't know if I can live without this one.  It is limited edition, so I might have to grab another bottle at some point!

My son broke my camera!

Yep, he sure did.  He threw it across the room like a rag doll.  I have another camera I'm trying to locate.  Please bear with me for a few days!  I'm so sad.  I have so much makeup to swatch!

MAC Viva Glam Nicki!! Swatch & Comparison!

Viva Glam Nicki is the newest lipstick from MAC's Viva Glam line!  It will be on MAC's website February 15th, 2012!  Viva Glam Nicki will be available for one year.  This is a super bright, almost neon yellow pink.  It is loud!  Even when I applied it very, very lightly it was still pretty bright!  It's gorgeous though and when I get some sunshine, I will be rocking this lipstick!   I'll probably wear very minimal makeup on the eyes and let the focus be on the lip!  Enjoy the swatch and comparison photo!!

NOTD: Misa Grey Matters

I'm just underwhelmed with the way this looks on me.  In the bottle it is a really cool speckled grey, but in person I'm just not seeing much of the "speckles".  It's showing up in the photo, but not so much in person.  Enjoy the swatch!

NOTD: OPI Jade is the New Black!

I don't know what it is about this green that I love so much, but it's one of my favs!!  I love to wear it as a pop of color with a neutral outfit!   Enjoy the swatch!

MAC Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner Swatches!

These are my new love!!!  I have never used an eyeliner that was so soft and butterly to apply, yet it stays put.  Literally 30 seconds after I swatched these, I rubbed and rubbed and there was just a tiny faint smudge.  These liners stay put!  They are so easy to apply and they last all day on me.  I put all of my Urban Decay 24/7 liners on Makeupalley because I will never use them again.  MAC Pearlglides are amazing!!!!!!  Just look at the swatch of Undercurrent!!  Jaw dropping!!!!  I have a few more coming in the mail and will post swatches of those soon!  Enjoy the swatch!

MAC Call me Bubbles Quad Swatches!

I wanted this quad so badly!!  It is so gorgeous to look at, but the colors look awful against my skin tone.  I am NC20 for reference.  The pale color barely shows up against my skin tone, the matte pink shade was chalky and the other 2 orange shades really clashed against my skin tone.  This quad would be gorgeous on medium to darker skin tones.  It just wasn't for me.  Enjoy the swatches!
